For Air Max Season 2024, our team worked with SNKRS to build energy around the drop of the Dn. Our goal was to reinvigorate the Air Max legacy for the next generation and bring a more playful, irreverent tone to the SNKRS App.
Our approach was to host a SNKRS Live special called Max Access. We took inspiration from public access television, cultivating an air of unpredictability throughout the stream in content and visuals.
For the overall visual identity for Max Access, we decided to take a maximalist and vibrant approach. The stream lockup’s typeface was designed based on the four ovals in the Airmax DN lockup. The ‘3D’ compositions were designed to ‘suck’ the viewer into the screen and the world of Max Access. We referenced colors, gradients, graphic elements such as the stripes and ticker, and motion from old television scan lines and CRT line glitches. The visual identity was translated over to the set by applying a retro-futuristic approach heavily influenced by broadcast stations and public access television.
